project spotlight

Managing storm water is an important part of public infrastructure engineering. New regulations and increasing urbanization have led to an emphasis on storm water and drainage design. Today, our site planning and roadway designs must accommodate larger quantities of storm water run off and provide retention or detention as well as treatment. Federal regulations and increasing environmental awareness are dictating more sophisticated approaches to storm water management.

Municipal Clients. To help municipal clients meet storm water challenges, our engineers and site planners work together using the newest computerized design and modeling facilities. We use natural resources to the greatest extent possible as a means of minimizing costs, and balance regulatory and environmental requirements for a practical, real world approach to meeting the needs of our clients. When clients face unnecessary hardship due to the strict application of rules, our staff works with regulatory agencies to achieve reasonable cost-effective solutions.

Private Clients. For private developers, our site development engineers and our planning staff work with regulatory officials to make drainage systems serve as aesthetic enhancements for their projects.
