For our private clients, the Williams & Works site development team works to balance science, art, and economics. Site development engineers merge their skills and talents with an instinctive understanding of the opportunities and limitations of the site, the demands of the marketplace, and the requirements of local and state agencies.

Design. Williams & Works’ site development projects involve many of the same technical elements – designing sanitary sewers, watermains, storm sewers, and utility services. Reviewing zoning ordinances, preparing site plans, handling site plan submission to local planning commissions, and coordinating permitting also make up a large part of what our site development staff handles.

Service. While many of the technical elements are the same or similar with site development projects, what isn't the same is each client or each project site. On any project, communication is key, and our engineers take the time to identify individual client needs and site requirements as early as possible in the process so that plans meet all requirements and projects are completed within budget and on schedule.

Coordination. The site development group helps clients by coordinating a variety of aspects of the project. Our experience with multiple jurisdictions provides us with numerous contacts and resources we can rely on throughout the project, allowing us to advise our clients and guide the project through the review and approval process. We contact utility companies to acquire services to the project site and coordinate with utility representatives during the design process so they have the most current information from which to work. Our site developers also coordinate project assignments with sub-consultants, including environmental assessments, geotechnical investigations, site lighting, landscaping, and irrigation plans.
